ElectroStatics has received another U.S. Patent (Number 6941606) titled, “Sheet and web cleaner on suction hood,” for its advanced technology web and parts cleaning systems.
The new face plate designs, covered by this patent, allows web cleaners from ElectroStatics to efficiently clean extremely thin materials such as tissue paper and thin plastic film at very slow to very high line speeds. Also, webs with low to high web tension can be cleaned without damaging the web. The system increases cleaning efficiency on standard thickness paper, plastic, and corrugated materials as well. Web Cleaner systems from ElectroStatics are available for any web width.
Robert Myers, Director of Engineering at ElectroStatics, Inc. and co inverter, said “The new face plate design in combination with our advanced airflow modeling allows us to understand the airflow across the entire web width in the design phase giving the final product a very uniform slot velocity regardless of web width.” A uniform slot velocity allows the web cleaner to be positioned very close to the web making it more effective while at it safely cleans the web and controls dust.
